nestegg is a personal calculator and record-keeping tool. It helps you capture your own income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and investment assumptions, and shows illustrative projections, budgets, and tax estimates based only on the figures and assumptions you enter.

nestegg does not provide financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice, and no part of the tool should be treated as a "financial service" or "advice" as those terms are defined in the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act 37 of 2002 (FAIS Act). We are not an authorised financial services provider (FSP), tax practitioner, or legal adviser, and nothing in nestegg constitutes a recommendation, guidance, or proposal that you take a particular financial decision.

Any projection, forecast, drawdown schedule, net worth outlook, or tax calculation shown in nestegg is a mathematical output of the assumptions and inputs you supply (for example estimated investment returns, inflation, contribution amounts, and tax tables). These figures:

• are estimates and simplifications only, not guarantees or predictions of future performance;
• may not reflect current SARS tax tables, rebates, thresholds, or rules, which change from time to time and may not have been updated in this tool;
• do not account for your full personal circumstances, other assets, debts, or legal or contractual obligations; and
• can be wrong if the assumptions you enter are wrong, incomplete, or out of date.

Always verify tax positions with SARS or a registered tax practitioner, and confirm investment and retirement decisions with an authorised financial services provider before acting on them.

You use nestegg entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties (express or implied) as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any calculation, projection, or content in the tool, and we will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including financial loss, tax penalties, or lost opportunity) arising from your use of, or reliance on, nestegg. Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable law.

We process personal information you provide (such as your name, email address, and the financial data you capture) as the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), for the purpose of operating your account and providing the calculator functionality — not for sale to third parties or unrelated marketing.

• Your financial data is stored to let you return to, edit, and review your own figures, and is only visible to you and to administrators for the purpose of providing support.
• We apply reasonable technical and organisational security safeguards (e.g. hashed passwords, access controls) as required by POPIA, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by logging a support ticket or using the account deletion option in your profile.
• We retain data only for as long as your account is active or as required by law, and delete it on account closure, subject to any legal retention obligation.

By creating an account you consent to this processing for the purposes described above. If you believe your information has been processed unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).

We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes to the tool or applicable law. Continued use of nestegg after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
